I'm starting to miss those holiday weeks when kids got their modems
and started calling BBSes with their Apple ][s and Commodore 64s.
that was a very very very long time ago and it's never gonna be like that again.
remember when you would wake up on saturday to watch those cartoons? cause that was your only shot to see those cartoons. now all that stuff is over for everyone.
Yup, change is the only constant in the universe. I miss Saturday morning cartoons, game shows each morning during the week, waiting up just to see the TV stations sign off with the national anthem (my 8 year old self loved that for some reason), and calling my favorite BBSes knowing the people I was chatting with lived just across town.
My kids will never know what any of this is, nor will they know what a modem, dial tone, busy signal, operator assistance, phone book, or rotery phone are either. It's sad, but that's life i guess.
