Ah. That horrible thing. It's not very stable.

At one point I'd turned it into a poor man's game server. I need to revive that project.

are you talking about the worldgroup one or the mbbsforever torrent?

the mbbsforever one is stable and a lot of people use it because it's configured with all those games. i ran it using a telgate from datastream, but people werent interested. which is weird because its mostly a gaming bbs.

There is a worldgroup one? I haven't seen that. That could be better.

It might be because the guy I was trying to do it with kept rebooting his virtual host without shutting it down, and it borked up btrieve.

I basically removed all the prompts and had the master BBS system log people in / create accounts for them, and got rid of all the menus but the game menu.

Now, if there was a way to actually use rlogin or something... that would be nice.

You can connect using Rlogin, manually, but it doesn't seem to let you pass credentials. Or I'm doing it wrong, or being an idiot. You can never rule that out with me.

If you think either of these are true, then please advise me. (:

Yeah. According to docs I've read, connecting two (or more) MBBS systems together using rlogin required -- extra money... like everythig else in the MBBS world. Galacticom didn't ever seem to care about things working according to anyone else's standards, either.
