The way those animals are reportedly tortured is sickening. If someone can torture another living thing that way, it's hard to imagine what else they're capable of.
Exactly. I usually keep this viewpoint to myself, because people start calling me a treehugger (that's a reflex from ND, where I've gotten my skull split for such sentiments before, not here), but it's very true. When one is getting desensitized to the suffering and unnecessary death of other animals obviously capable of feeling and pain, how does that _not_ make them more more likely a person capable of psychotic episodes towards other humans? All of the cornfed fuckers around there acted like it was stupid, even as they proved my point by bashing my head with their cow/pig-butchering & ham-handed fists to the amusement of their fellow shit-kickers.
God I'm glad to be out of there.
