    They fooled a lot of people with this "random paper maker".

    I even "wrote" one. ;)

    I think it's quite funny myself. The papers it generates are nonsensical, but arranged to look good.

    I've heard that around 120 of the papers generated by SCIGen somehow accidentally made it into some publications (at least briefly) though.. http://bit.ly/1eqC5NS http://www.nature.com/news/publishers-withdraw-more-than-120-gibberish- papers-1.14763

    Well it is and it isn't.

    It's a scam because it will not write a legitimate paper for you.

    It will write a nonsensical paper for you that needs a little scrutiny to be realized as garbage.

    So if you just skim the top of the paper without really digging into the meat of the issue, you wouldn't know it's phony bologna.

    Cool, no?

    I'd sell it as a service! "Look Ma, I wrote a science paper!"

    Impress your girlfriend, impress your boss! LOL!
