• Happy turkey day

From Khelair@VERT/TINFOIL to All on Thursday, November 27, 2014 13:00:12
Just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a happy remembrance of colonial imperialism, and genocide of native inhabitants with a tribal, non-monetary culture based on balance with nature day. Give thanks, but try to remember, also, that we must keep focus on striving to become better as individuals and a species every day in making sure that we quash out the things that we have done, and continue to do to this day, along such terrible lines.
I wish you all the best. :)

As much as I dislike what happened in the past, I don't think it helps much to regurgitate this year after year. We all know what happened in the past, and we can't change it - so I don't think there's any real need to keep beating ourselves up over it. The best we can do is try to make things as best as we can for the future and move forward - not to keep looking backward and beating ourselves up. I have been noticing this more and more the past few years - it seems to be the in thing these days to spread such sarcastic "happy Thanksgiving" messages on social media sites, etc. If you don't like what the country represents, you can always move to a different country.

Yeah, you know, Finland did not celebrate Halloween originally, but now it is common. I bet the turkey day is the next that migrates over the water. The only requirement is that someone can make money with it.

Too many special days these days.

I'll be getting back to you on this. I want to make sure that I convey my sentiment clearly... And, I think you're alright, and care about your opinion, so I want to approach it calmly.
    Best wishes until then.

Time to quote William S. Boroughs:

Thanks for the wild turkey and
    the passenger pigeons, destined
to be shat out through wholesome
    American guts.

Thanks for a continent to despoil
    and poison.

Thanks for Indians to provide a
    modicum of challenge and
    danger.

Thanks for vast herds of bison to
    kill and skin leaving the
    carcasses to rot.

    Thanks for bounties on wolves
    and coyotes.

    Thanks for the American dream,
To vulgarize and to falsify until
    the bare lies shine through.

    Thanks for the KKK.

    For nigger-killin' lawmen,
    feelin' their notches.

    For decent church-goin' women,
    with their mean, pinched, bitter,
    evil faces.

Thanks for "Kill a Queer for
    Christ" stickers.

    Thanks for laboratory AIDS.

    Thanks for Prohibition and the
    war against drugs.

    Thanks for a country where
    nobody's allowed to mind the
    own business.

Thanks for a nation of finks.

    Yes, thanks for all the
    memories-- all right let's see
    your arms!

You always were a headache and
    you always were a bore.

Thanks for the last and greatest
betrayal of the last and greatest
    of human dreams.
