    Why is it that, when trying to login via putty or hyperterminal, i get a message "trying to resolve username" then login fails?... though i have been able to login via these client before...anyone?

    i think you mean hostname.

    what protocol are you using? telnet ssh rlogin ??

    yes i mean hostname, ive been using ssh port 22, with the above mentioned clients , hyperterminal 7 , and ssh protocol 2 with putty, like i say, have been able to get on, but most times, no, mike0210

    is your domain captainsattic.com? i can not connect to it via any protocol other than http.
