I do admit I'm new to all of this but I'm having a hell of a time trying to play the door games on here. And then there is the File transfer downloads. I can't get those to work either. I try to download a batch of them and it always fails. Am I failing to do something? Thanks for your time.

I just went over to wastelands-bbs.net and was able to successfully download a file via FTP. How is it failing for you?

You mentioned FTP before though.. Telnet does not use FTP for file transfers
- For that, you'll still be using Zmodem (or perhaps another transfer protocol if you've configured one). How were you trying to use FTP via telnet?

What Telnet program are you using? You might want to be sure you're using a BBS-friendly Telnet client, such as one of these:

If your trying to download from your terminal program you need to be using the right program and use the Zmodem protocal. I use Qodem for both Windows and Linux. Any ftp software will work fine on all Synchronet Boards. Hope this helps
