I agree. It was a lot easier to find users in your area. Now you if you connect with someone online you find out they live 3000 miles away or even another country. I don't use social networks cause I feel everyone accept the person the message was intened for will see it. Sites like facebook have more BS on it I get distracted as soon as I connect and forget to send a message anyway. I feel a lot more comfortable sending messages via BBS because the areas are topic oriented and user access is a lot more limited than social networks. Put simply..I know not many folks are going to see my posts anyway. ;-)

That's just my opinion....I could be wrong.
