So Video game history has had it'
games that may or may not exist,
etc. Some true, some not so true.
Like the Urban Myth that we'll
all have keys to LORD door game?

this exemplifies how the internet takes lies and republishes them so
in so many places, they become false truths. wikipedia is a prim example. history has been rewritten many times over there

The problem is also with journalist who don't bother to research new anymore

So much of that is because Journalists don't care about reporting the trut

    Have a good One!

I think it's more what we consider to be legitimate journalism vs.
privately funded "entertinfo" media, (FOX, CNN, MSNBC, etc.)

As a journalist I bristle at that. There's plenty of good journalism going on, though you're not likely to find it on TV.

Yeah, that was a pretty ignorant interpretation of current
trends that he spouted. I've sat and discussed with mobile
correspondants for major networks the business of mainstream news, and
what people can expect to be on the tube these days. If people would
both to independently review, with a skeptical mind, everything that
they were accepting as fact out-of-hand from the televisino, they would
quickly turn to other sources. It's just that the advent of the moving
picture w/audio in the home has turned people into creatures that get
their stimulation in the form of a 'pavlovian reward' built into the
cadence and intonation of the narrator/journalist. Trends to
investigate, inquire, and verify have been pushed out of too many sects
of society, once holding it as common sense, now looking at it is 'too bothersome', usually while cramming cheetohs into their faces with an orange-crusted hand and digging at their crotches with the other.
People are just like sheep in a lot of ways. One of the ways
that's coming to me the most clearly right now is the way in which
shepherds tended their flocks for when they were getting close to
shearing time. The sheep would like to loaf around in the sun, warm and
comfy, and at some point, if they'd fed too much and had too much wool,
they'd lay down or roll into a configuration that didn't allow them to
get back up again under their own power. Without a shepherd to come and
give them a shove back to a better orientation for rising, they'd sit
there like a flipped turtle until the first predator came by.
Or maybe that's just me searching for an easier solution to this problem than what it truly warrants, in order to be fair to all. I can
see how one might take what I just said along the same lines as Stalin's
speech to his potential successors, where he plucks all of the feathers
off of the baby bird and admonishes them for holding it too tightly or
too loosely, because when it's cold and needs shelter, it'll forget all
about being afraid to seek warmth from its 'big brother'.

Guh up the effbomb down wif yr bad self; seriously. That means 'shut
the effbomb up, in the parlance of the first child I raised from birth
on . . . I recommend it because my patience with people that are only
interested in passing judgement and making pointless jabs without
knowing the exact facts about what they're dealing with is waning.
    Consider yrself warned.
