I worry that as we gain more features in a smartphone, we start to lose our basic reason for having a phone; voice communication. I have 3 year old android smart phone and I have to say, the voice caller ability is sometimes very lacking. I have to hangup and call back to get a good connection, or many times the other guy just can't hear me right. I can always seem to hear them just fine. I know it's an older phone, but it seems to me that it's been that way since day one.
I've had the same thought. I remember reading a review for the iPhone
a couple years ago that said the same thing - that the phone feature of the iPhone was probably the worst feature of the iPhone. I always
thought of a phone as just something that does voice communication (and maybe texting for a cell phone) - so I've often wondered how/why
someone came up with the idea for a cell phone to do a lot more than
just be a phone.
