I was watching BBS Documentary and thinking..man these guys are old. DOH!

I resent and resemble that remark! For the record, there are others in the BBS'ing scene older than I. I think it's a good thing there are others youn than me as well. It is rather hard to keep BBS's alive once one has died.

I tried to install SynchroNet on a Fedora Linux 16 machine but I couldn't, I am now running it on a Windows system

You would have had much better luck, I would think, running it under
CentOS or Debian (which are much, IMHO, stabler distros of Linux).
