Bollywood scares me.

I've grown to like Bollywood movies and their dancing, their
colorful costumes, and general upbeat storylines.

I think for me though I had a friendship with someone with that
region, and that person turned out to be a lie. So at the moment I can
enjoy Bollywood movies, to a point. I have yet to see someone from that
region who is friendly but insincere or just a horse's ass.

I've met people from many other places in the world that covered
many places inbetween (actually sincere, friendly, neutral, an ass but otherwise a good person, etc). So far people from that region, either insincerely friendly or horse's ass.

My uncle in his 70's, great open minded guy, helped start the
paramedic program in California, etc heard my comment and just nodded in agreement "That sounds about right." :)

So I watch the happy go lucky Bollywood movies, I laugh, I smile, but
I realize that it is all fake. Yeh yeh, it's a movie, but you know,
Gene Kelly convinced me he was happy and enjoying the world when he
danced. That's Hollywood.

Knowing the people in that region, I'm not convinced they are happy.
I'm not convinced that anything we see in the movies portraying their
way of life is allowed to be anywhere near accurate. That's Bollywood.

yeah, i'll have to agree with you on that.

i've had a friend from that area who ended up being a sociopath, and
other's i've met seem very odd like they are hiding something.
