If they managed to continue the reboot series they started, rather than keep re-releasing the old stuff, now I would be certainly impresed :-)

So that's not all, it's just the first 4.. I just looked this up and found this article - It mentions the first 4 being released in September, but it says that while the rest of the movies will follow, there's no specific news on those yet:

Some of thd older Star Trek movies are some of my favorite movies. I wouldn't mind seeing them in 4K.

As far as new movies, I'd like to see them do something new or fill in the time between TOS and TNG, rather than re-hash Kirk and his crew.

To be honest, I think the new stuff is something "new", because it is not Star Trek. It is Fast and Furious in Space. With Star Trek logos and references thrown in :-)

I'm a little surprised they're releasing a 4K box set with only the first 4 movies, rather than the 6 original series Star Trek movies. I'd like to have a complete set of all the movies in 4K, but of course, it takes time and money to remaster a movie. I wonder if they think the timing of the release is important.

I'm debating whether to buy the set when it comes out this year or wait for a more complete set to be released.

I saw TMP in the movie theater - the beginning sequence with V'Ger and the
new Klingon ships (and the new Klingons!) was pretty eye-opening to a
    teenaged kid.

I'd love to see it on my home screen in 4K. I hope the effects (and William Shatner's girdle) hold up in higher resolution.

It seems the redesigned Klingons has always been a point of debate in Star Trek. And they did it again for Star Trek: Discovery..
