Yeah, the Atari logo was cool. And if Atari does release a new system, I wonder if they'd go the 64-bit route. The Atari Jaguar (released in the 90s) was a 64-bit system, and 64-bit processors have become more common in computing since then. It would allow a console to have more than 4GB of RAM, which would probably be an advantage for a modern system.

Technically the Jag is a 16-bit system with some 32/64-bit coprocessors. That thing was a mess, but the death of Atari was not releasing a system between the 7800 and Jaguar (the Cougar was a prototype that never saw the light of day and if it had been released might of saved Atari from obscurity).

The word console needs to go away. I want Atari to release a new computer. Don't care what CPU is used, but something non-x86 would be ideal (new generation PowerPC or a new CPU design altogether). Keep the Firmware simple, upgradable with the capability to run the desktop from firmware or load from disk into RAM. Good MIDI control, serial, USB 3.1 (or go for something else to avoid licensing), SIO Port (upgraded for speed/compatiblity) or whatever for backwards compatibility would be great.

Atari has been doing great for years on 4mb ram (ST), I guess with ram being so cheap it makes sense to have the system use standard parts where possible. I'm not talking about a PC, I'd rather see Atari do SOMETHING else. Like what Arduio did, kindda.

... Hey! Who took the cork off my lunch??!

I wasn't expecting this.. Apparently they're making a Blade Runner sequel, complete with Harrison Ford - 35 years after the first movie.
I only just saw Blade Runner in 2008 - I thought it had an interesting story and great visuals, although I'm not sure I'd put it among my favorite sci-fi movies. It will be interesting to see the sequel
    though.

I've seen the trailer. While I love Blade Runner, the trailer didn't really excite me. I'll just wait for the film to come out so I can take any conclusions after I watch it :^)

I hope the music is on par with the use of music in the original.

Nerdwriter has a great video about the Bladerunner's audio and score...

you've got that right.. it's like music.. either (1) we have came to the threshhold of our artistic abilities as a human race, or (2) the production is so hard up for money they don't want to "waste" the time it take to write something original. so they "sample" stuff, or "borrow" whatever.. or (3)
the "artists" are just plain lazy.. either way, its all a bunch of bull to me and I have tuned out of anything being released. most newer singers out, I cannot enjoy, and yes, the movies royally suck. I cannot tell you the last time I have went to the theatre. hell they arent even netflix worthy, wait until they pop up on crackle and then be disappointed by them.

A complete, utter waste of time..

I have said that years ago when I was in college. Friend of mine and I were watching a few of the music videos that were playing, and we have said there is not a whole lot of originallity.

I have noticed a lot of remakes, recently, and it does seem like music artists and movies are running out of ideas. I know Contemporary Christian Music is pretty bad when it does comes to originallity. There are a few that are original, but I have heard some that do hymns and praise and worship songs lately. It got up to the point that I just turn off the radio yesterday when I was out in town with the kids in the car. There was recent music video that the concept was a rip off of an older music video from another artist from the 90's. Yes, a Contemporary Christian Music artists copying others, not really surprising there.
