• 3/21 - The Day the Purple Died

Yesterday was a bit of sadness, as a musician myself I have been inflenced by Prince. It's hard to find a professoinal musician that hasn't came across a song in the past 25 years that hasn't done something that was influenced by Prince. He transcended ALL genres and even wrote songs for Country and Western artists. He could play darn near any musical instrument you put down in front of him.

Very sad day indeed... seems like so many of the great artists are checking out this year.

RIP Prince Rogers Nelson... I'm sure there's one amazing concert going on in the afterlife right now.

    Allen

RIP Prince, a huge loss to music worldwide. A real one of a kind.

I saw Prince live at "7th Street Entry" in Minneapolis back in 1996/1997. He would often play the same song in a row a few times and storm out, to earn rumored coke money.

I knew a woman who brought me over to meet his cousin (a well known DJ) at his condo. She told me after "that's Prince's cousin" ... "Wow really?"
