• Mark Knopfler concert

From Nightfox@VERT/DIGDIST to All on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 20:56:00
A couple days ago, I went to see Mark Knopfler (originally of Dire Straits fame) play a concert in my area. I've always been a fan of Dire Straits & Mark Knopfler for his solo work, and it was great to finally see him play live. I have most of his solo albums, although his last few I haven't listened to as much as some of his earlier albums. So I wasn't sure how much of the concert I'd recognize immediately - But it turned out to be a great concert. It was a good selection of songs, and I enjoyed even the stuff I wasn't as familiar with. He played some songs from his latest album Tracker, and from Privateering, The Ragpicker's Dream (Hill Farmer's Blues), among others, as well as some Dire Straits songs (Sultans Of Swing, Romeo and Juliet, Telegraph Road, So Far Away). It was a fairly upbeat concert, and the other musicians who were with him were great as well. The sound system at the venue he played at here was great too.

People have been recording his performances on this tour around the world and posting their videos on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=mark+knopfler+2015

I counted 4 guitars that he played - He had his red Stratocaster, a Les Paul (used
for So Far Away, Hill Farmer's Blues, and a few others), another that looked like
a Danelectro, and his silver-looking resonator acoustic guitar (used for Romeo &
    Juliet and a couple others).

Since it's the older web interface though, I'm not sure if that's still supported anymore, is it? I had the impression that Synchronet's default web interface is now ecweb.

I have a customzied web interface, but for reading message sub-boards, my links point to the original web interface (I haven't totally customized everything). I've thought of switching my web message interface to use ecweb at some point.

It's still in CVS and still an option to be installed as part of the v3.16c Windows installer. "Supported" is a subjective term, but generally, yes, it's still supported.

I had the impression that Synchronet's default

Well ecWeb v3 is in CVS and was included in the v3.16c for Windows installation package, but it's no more "default" than the old "runemaster" interface.

I know echicken is working on another re-write of his web interface, so you might want to switch to that instead of the soon-to-be-obsolete v3.

in the installer you can pick between the two.
i think ec web needs some work even though it looks nice.

i tried posting using the forum interface and got a vague error msg in each
    msg sub.

overall i prefer running what i have now for a web.
