I've been interested by Kevin Mitnick lately and the actual story isn't nearly as sexy as the media made him out to be. He got more years in prison than some script kiddies get when they hacked the PSN. This documentary I was watching even said it was another hacker who did all the credit card stealing and the companies that complained about losing millions was overblown.

So what was with this guy?? Did the government want a scape goat to make an example of? He got solitary confinement of all things! I even watched a video where he is asking other people for hacking tools on some telnet chat program that was on youtube someone taped back in 1995. He was no zero cool that's for sure.

So what did you guys think of him? Did any of you ever get a chance to talk to him back in the day?

it was a different time. he was just some guy who was messing around for the most part and other people did far worse crimes. the watchmen for example.

anyways, a lot of it was hype and now he is using that benefit to his hype. he's a nice guy though, i called into a radio show once and talked to him.
i dont think i'd call into a radio show to talk to anybody else.
