  • Rock and Roll HOF

    I was excited that there were no last minute glitches, and that Heart and Rush finally made it in.

    I mean, it is ROCK AND ROLL.

    So its a little disturbing to find Donna Summer (DISCO!?) being inducted.
    Or Rap bands like Public Enemy making it in. Sure I get run dmc and PE did some rock stuff with Areosmith and Anthrax, but that hardly deserves being inducted into the ROCK AND ROLL hall of fame. while bands like Deep Purple, KISS,
    Jethro Tull, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Yes, Steve Miller Band and so many countless more lay in wait.

    I'm 50/50 on including blues artists, because after all, everyone knows where Rock and Roll came from... So seeing Albert King was nice... no doubt he was a great musician.

    You're not going to see depeche mode or EMF being nominated into the Hop Hop Hall of Fame... But maybe you'd see Markey Mark and the Funky Bunch?

    Awesome that Rush made into the Rock & Roll HOF. :) (I haven't listened to Heart much, so can't comment there.)

    That is a little disturbing. They can go into their own hall of fame, but not the Rock & Roll hall of fame.

    I'm not familiar with how they vote, but any "HOF" program without Judas Priest
    and Iron Maiden are not worth noting in my book.
