The authors of the article, just published in the Irish Medical
Journal, analysed all European adult population studies, completed
since 1999, which measured vitamin D and compared vitamin D and death rates from COVID-19. The article can be viewed at:

Interesting read. Definitely seems to be a correlation, and a
plausible hypothesis that seems to fit the facts.

There are other articles. It definately seems that there could be a benefit. Now, if we are willing to put hundreds of thousands out of
work, to save lives, then surely it is also worth people ensuring they
are not Vitamin D deficient, if there is a decent chance it could make
a difference. If the benefit is small, that is OK, because the risk of not being Vitamin D deficient is very, very small. There is a likely
gain for no cost.
