Well yeah, no shit. You're being vague. You wrote the above as
if it was your own statement.

So who, besides *YOU*, is "we"?

There is a risk with almost everything in this world but the risk of not vaccinating everyone that can be vaccinated would be devistating.

I don't think it is black and white myself.

I work a lot with dogs and horses, who don't have many mandatory vaccinations over here. I have had some cases of bad secondary
effects that can be totally atributed to vaccines. I think it is
the responsibility of the owner to balance the risks of
vaccinating and facing possible side effects or non vaccinating
and facing a possible outbreak in the barn or kennel.

For many vaccines I take the first, for many others I take the
second. I am happy I can make this decission myself for the
most part instead of having it imposed of me. When a horse of
mine gets a bad side effect from a vaccine and is unable to eat
normally for three days I want to know it is my responsibility
and it is happening for a good reason, not because some
bourocrat was bought by Big Vet Pharma and made the vaccine
    mandatory.

Fun fact, I got vaccinated against a eradicated disease and
ended up catching it up and being put in quarantine for it.
It looks like a big vaccine batch got deffective from the lab
and a good bunch of people got the damn thing. The bastards
didn't gave me my money back.

All this talk abotu vaccinations and animals reminds me of vaccinating pigs
for psuedorabies before taking them to the local county fair. Just imagine
the potential of an outbreak at a place where so many different animals are present?

Many horse sporting federations actually won't let you compete
if you don't have the vaccine calendar up-to-date precisely
    because of that.
