Republican Roy Moore did not concede to Democrat Doug Jones in the US Senate race as he addressed supporters Tuesday in Montgomery, Alabama -- even after CNN and other networks projected Jones the winner and Jones declared victory.

"When the vote is this close ... it's not over," Moore said.ÿ

Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill told CNN that, while results are not yet certified, it is highly likely Jones will be the winner.

Shortly after Jones was projected to be the winner, President Trump tweeted, "Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win."

Roy Moore needs to give it up and just admit he lost to a Democrat in a dominetly Republican state.

At least this shows, yet again, Rebulican voters make up their own minds and has decent moral standards. To stress my point: Republican VOTERS.

However, after this is all said and done now, I am going to say this and now seems like a good time to say it. After all of the mud slugging that went on, I am very disgusted with our politicans on both sides. This special election is far worse than 2016 election. I say this because both sides have used legitate accusations as a pawn for their politican gains. How utterly disgusting! It completely tears down the innocent victims that were bold enough to come out and speak bravely against their attackers; and then to sit there and watch their accusations be used as part of a political scheme to fight to get their places.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, it seems like politicans forgotten what their roles are: SERVING THE PEOPLE.

please dont generalize voters based on their party choices. that's the same as me saying that democrats vote with their heart and not with their mind.

that being said, people that vote only for their 'side' are stupid. you
need to check into the people you are voting for. i consider myself liberitarian but i have to vote democrat and republican. i base it on what that person MAY do for what i consider the good of their office.

I am, actually, more frustated with Moore not giving it up, and he is really driven to having power, which is sickening. And most of us knows why he's still persuing it...
