• Exclusive: IRS helps with Russia probe

    From CNN Breaking News@VERT to no-reply@siteservices.cnn.com on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 14:48:45
The IRS is now sharing information with special counsel Robert Mueller about key Trump campaign officials, after the two entities clashed this summer over both the scope of the investigation into Russia's meddling in the 2016 election and a raid on former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort's home, people briefed on the matter tell CNN.

Part of the concern centered on the far-reaching and broad requests from Mueller's team. In the case of Manafort, Mueller's investigators are reaching back 11 years as they investigate possible tax and financial crimes, according to search warrant documents. Mueller is bound by a written order issued by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in May which allows the special counsel to investigate "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation."

Ok how come I only see all this Russia stuff on CNN? and not real News outle

Because the media is too busy trying to cover the NFL controversy and ignoring the real issues like the health care bills and North Korea.

The whole mess with the NFL doesn't affect lives, and yet, the media is
steeped too deep into it (all types of the media).

I wish they focus on the more pressing isuess... Oh well, this is the country we're living in now: where entertainment is so much more important than the possibility of a nuclear warfare (which that subject just gets a quick blip).

I voted for Trump, I do however wish he had not made a big deal over the NFL players.
I think on this issue he got it wrong.
He is only Human like the rest of us and he does and will make mistakes.

You're right I wish our President would just focus on the real issues and not get side lined on all these meaningless issues like the NFL players.
All he did was piss off the players, If he called me an SOB I might protest as well, I think it's time to stop all the name calling and just do the job we hired him to do.

I don't think that's possible with the man currently in office. He is and always has been entirely too full of himself to do any good for others.

Now don't get me wrong, Hillary would have been just as bad, just in different ways. As long as 'the people' continue to pick (R) or (D), 'the people' will continue to lose.

I voted for Trump, I do however wish he had not made a big deal over the NFL players.

I did too, but I am regretting it. Like I said, I voted for Dr. Carson during the primaries (it was either him or Feronina [spell?]), and I only voted for Trump in the general election out of strategy, not principle. I should have Johnson when I had the chance. It wouldn't have mattered in the end, but at least I could say, "What? I didn't vote for Trump!"

You're right I wish our President would just focus on the real issues and no get side lined on all these meaningless issues like the NFL players.

Not just Trump, the media too. NFL is just a minor issue compared to North
Kore launching misseles and threatening to nuke the tar out of the United States.

I don't think name calling will ever stop in this lifetime; doesn't matter who the person is.

Agreed! Among the (R) and (D) is constantly is crammed done throats by any media, it will continue to be (R) and (D). If it would be more than just the (R) and (D), I think the general and primary races will be a whole lot more interesting! :D

like trump, this issue only gets stronger the more it gets attention.

Which is exactly what he wants, it takes the focus off important things that He doesn't like talking or thinking about, like North Korea, The fact that Puerto Rico has all but been wiped off the map, and the Mueller investigation.

it does say in their policies that they are supposed to raise for the anthem, though.

    No it doesn't.

not many people care about PR. trump is an expert at playing the media.

okay there was "news" going around saying it is in a nfl rule book. it is actually in their game operations manual according to nfl spokesperson brian mccarthy. it's a policy, not a rule. whats the difference, right?

either way, football sucks and those people make way too much money

A "rule" suggests that there are consequences should it be broken. The NFL reportedly "encourages" their players to stand for the anthem, but it goes no further than that.

either way, football sucks and those people make way too much money

I've heard a lot of people complain that "the players make way too much money, so what do they have to protest?" Almost like it never occured to them that they are human beings who actually care about people other than themselves. It makes me wonder if the people complaining care about anyone other than themselves.

isnt a policy the same as a rule? if i break a policy at work, i get in trouble just the same.

i'm not sure they know what they are 'protesting' and i'm positive they do not protest when they are out of the public eye.

i have heard people say it' s about racial injustice, i have heard people say that it's because of black people getting shot by police.

the truth is they do it because they are pissed off that hillary lost.
'taking a knee' does jack shit. it does nothing. it doesnt bring any attention to any cause other than it's making people pissed off.

if anything it is changing people for the worse. there are real social injustices that arent being addressed but koppernickle knees and everyone talks and talks. it's about the media profitting.
