our entire political system is staffed with people who take care of eachother. this includes democrats and republicans.

The F.B.I. Director may be an appointed position but most of the Employees
of the F.B.I. aren't, they're employed by the U.S. Government through the Federal Employees Retirement System and maybe some are still in the older
Civil Service Retirement System.

When Ronald Reagan was Our POTUS He had been a Entertainer/Actor/Performer
also earlier in His life.
But He always had Nancy along side with Her hand on His back pulling the strings.

Maybe Our POTUS needs His wifes help as Reagan did?
Maybe He can "handle that job all by Himself"?????????????

It is... that's why this here liberal prefers to refer to him by one of his greatest historical accomplishments. His 2016 campaign received the 4th highest number of votes of ALL campaigns in American history. So, I call him "Number 4."

Trump's 2016 run was so good that out of all campaigns, it was only bested by Obama '08, Obama '12, and Clinton '16.

Tremendous! Lincoln? WAY down the list. FDR? Not even close... and he had four tries! Clinton? Ain't got nothin' on Number 4! (Well... as long as we're talking BILL Clinton.)

According to a Wikipedia article POTUS Coolidge appointed Hoover to the
Bureau of Investigation.
