Authorities are working reports of at least four different crime scenes in connection with a workplace shooting[1] at Excel Industries in Hesston, Kansas, said Harvey County Sheriff T. Walton.

The suspected shooter, an employee at Excel, was killed.

“There could be as many as three or four others (dead), and possibly up to 20 people that have been injured," Walton said.

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders quarreled over the 2008 bailouts of Wall Street and the auto industry, the costs of his health care plan and immigration during a debate simulcast on CNN[1] and sponsored by Univision and The Washington Post.

Clinton returned to her attack on Sanders for failing to vote for the Wall Street bailout bill that was used to rescue the auto industry. Sanders in turn accused her of voting to protect her Wall Street constituents when she was senator from the state of New York.

Univision hosts questioned both Democratic candidates closely about whether they would deport immigrants if elected. In one memorable moment, the candidates addressed a mother who said her husband had been deported, leaving her and their five children in the U.S. Clinton and Sanders both said they would do what they could to reunite similarly separated families - and Sanders said that if Congress didn't act, he would use executive action to "do what has to be done" on immigration.

Clinton also reiterated her stance that an investigation into emails sent and received by her and her aides will not bear any fruit. When asked directly whether she would pull out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination if she is indicted over the messages, she said no such indictment would happen.

Sanders also said he thought Clinton should release the transcripts of speeches she gave to Wall Street banks so the American people can determine whether she said the same things during those speeches as she says publicly now.

In their last debate before Tuesday's important primary and caucus contests in Florida, Illinois, Missouri and Ohio, Republican presidential candidates split over a host of key issues[1], including �worker visas, Social Security, Islam and foreign policy.

The focus of the debate was on substance instead of personal attacks. Front-runner Donald Trump, who described his lead in the race for the GOP nomination as insurmountable, took the brunt of the night's attacks. But at one point, Trump even remarked about how civil the discussion was.

In a discussion about immigration and worker visas, both Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and Trump agreed that The Walt Disney Co. might be skirting the intent of federal laws in its use of consulting firms and visas to employ foreign workers.

When Trump said he would improve the U.S. economy in order to bolster the flagging Social Security fund so he could leave benefits the same, his opponents suggested his plan was unrealistic. Both Rubio and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas said younger workers should expect the retirement age to go up. Ohio Gov. John Kasich said he preferred to explore an innovative approach to keeping the fund solvent.

When Trump doubled down on comments he made this week that "Islam hates us," Rubio said such statements create "a hostile environment." Cruz added that the answer to the nation's foreign policy concerns "is not simply to yell 'China bad, Muslims bad.'"

Rubio is said to have staked the future of his campaign on Tuesday's outcome in Florida, where he trails Trump in polls of likely GOP voters. Kasich has vowed to end his campaign if he doesn't win in the Buckeye State.

In a victory for Bernie Sanders' campaign, a judge in Ohio has�ruled that some 17-year-olds can�vote in Tuesday's primaries.

Franklin County Judge Richard Frye determined that Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted, a Republican, erred when he ordered that Ohioans who are 17 but will be 18 on Election Day in November not be allowed to vote in the presidential primaries.�

In a CNN-TV One town hall[1], Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton strongly criticized GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

Sanders described the mogul as "a pathological liar[2]" who is inciting violence at his rallies. Clinton said Trump is committing "political arson" and trafficking in hate and fear. She also said that some foreign leaders have been so alarmed by Trump's rhetoric that they have offered her endorsements.

The candidates also addressed concerns about college costs, taxes, foreign policy, the death penalty and poverty.

Sanders said that if he becomes president, it will be because of a significant increase in voter turnout - and that the turnout would mean Democrats could recapture the U.S. Senate and gain a significant number of seats in the House.

He also said small-business owners would benefit from his health care and tax plans because their expenses would be significantly reduced if they didn't have to pay for health care for themselves and their employees.

In response to a question from an Ohioan who had spent several decades on death row[3], Clinton said she thought the death penalty should be reserved[4] for a very narrow category of federal cases: Those involving terror attacks.

She said she also would work with Congress to lower the costs of health care.

On Tuesday, Democratic voters will choose between Sanders and Clinton in contests in Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina and Ohio.

Clinton currently leads the race with 1,244 delegates. Sanders has 574 delegates.

I think it was individual bloggers who were present in the rallys who started blogging about it. Then they got them on video and posted that too. Then

To be fair. You started it with the liberal hate. He was only replying in kind. And as for forcing beliefs, it's unfortunate that the Republicans have been losing that battle for years with their pro-life movement. They've lost a LOT of women's votes with just that in itself.

President Barack Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court sets up a dramatic political fight[1] with Senate Republicans who have vowed to block any replacement for the late Justice Antonin Scalia.

In response, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said, "It is the Senate's constitutional right to act as a check on a President and withhold its consent."

Obama called on the Senate to give Garland -- the chief judge for the Washington, D.C., appeals court[2] -- a "fair hearing" and an "up-or-down vote." To do otherwise, he said, "would be a betrayal of our best traditions."

In emotional remarks, Garland said Obama's decision to nominate him is "the greatest honor of my life" -- other than his wife agreeing to marry him.

"Trust that justice will be done in our courts without prejudice or partisanship is what, in a large part, distinguishes this country from others," Garland said.

The five final major candidates for the presidency will sit down with CNN[1] to discuss developments in the race, foreign policy and other issues just one day ahead of Tuesday's important Western contests in Utah, Arizona and Idaho.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton leads the delegate count for the Democratic nomination and real-estate mogul Donald Trump leads the race for the Republican nomination.

The five final major candidates for the presidency discussed U.S. policy toward Israel, Cuba and the state of the presidential race in the CNN special "The Final Five."[1]

Republican front-runner Donald Trump was the subject of questions to every other candidate. �

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich each said emphatically that he would not serve as the vice-presidential candidate on a Trump-led Republican ticket.

Kasich said he is the only remaining Republican candidate who can win a general election - and that the GOP race is "going to go to the convention" before a candidate can secure the nomination.

Cruz said he disagreed with Trump's assertion that the U.S. should consider reducing its involvement in NATO. "This is a dangerous world; if America withdraws, we get" a more dangerous world, Cruz said.

In contrast with the other Republican candidates, Trump said he would continue the Obama administration's policy of normalizing relations with Cuba. He also said he didn't know why white supremacists support his campaign or why people are nervous about his rallies.

Clinton said she expected the relationship between the U.S. and Israel to remain one of friendly "give and take." On immigration, she said she doesn't "see the purpose" of breaking up the families of undocumented immigrants with aggressive deportations. She also condemned Trump for what she described as "bigotry and bluster and bullying."

In his segment, Sanders said he had better judgment on foreign policy matters than Clinton, even though she has served as secretary of state. He added that it's important for Saudi Arabia to work with the U.S. against ISIS, and that the U.S. should continue normalizing relations with Cuba.�

Three explosions that ripped through the Belgian capital of Brussels[1] on Tuesday killed at least 34 people and wounded about 170 more, according to Belgian media, and raised the reality of terror once again in the heart of Europe.�

President Obama condemned the attacks[2] during a speech in Havana, Cuba, saying that the United States stands in solidarity with Belgium.

"This is yet another reminder that the world must unite," he added. "We must be together, regardless" of nationality or faith or race, in fighting terrorism, he said.

Here's what we know at this hour:

THE ATTACKS[3]

Airport: At around 8am local time, two explosions ripped through the departure lounge of Zaventem airport. At least one of those explosions was a suicide bombing, according to a Belgian prosecutor.

At least one of the blasts took place outside the security checkpoints for ticketed passengers and near the airline check-in counters, according to an airline official.

Metro Station: About an hour after the airport explosions, there was an explosion at the Maalbeek metro station in the heart of Brussels, where European Union institutions are based.

THE INVESTIGATION[4]

Evacuation: A nuclear power plant in eastern Belgium has been evacuated, aside from essential staff, under an order from Belgian authorities, a representative of the company that operates the plant said.

Details about why the order was given weren't immediately available.

Raids: Police raids are happening in the Brussels region, with authorities looking for people suspected of being linked to Tuesday's deadly explosions, Belgian broadcaster RTBF reported.

Airport discovery: Belgian media report a Kalashnikov assault rifle was found in the departure hall of the Zaventem airport in Brussels.

Suitcase bomb?: Investigators are looking at the possibility that one of the Brussels airport explosions may have been caused by a bomb inside a suitcase.

Working theory: Investigators suspect the attack was one of opportunity, targeting a large group of people in an area near airline ticket counters, two officials say. There's no indication so far that the attacker tried to go past the security screening checkpoint, but authorities are continuing their investigation, including reviewing surveillance footage to be sure, the officials say.

GLOBAL RESPONSE:[5]

U.S. security: Authorities in Washington, New York, Chicago and other cities[6] are taking special precautions, such as increased K-9 sweeps of subways and additional police patrols. The FBI is also boosting checks on the whereabouts of suspected extremists who are already being monitored and checking for any intelligence indicating possible threats in the United States, officials say.

Additionally, U.S. national security officials are on guard for possible copy-cat attacks, though there is no specific indication of any plots in the United States tied to the Brussels attacks, officials said.

U.K. security: British police have increased their presence at certain locations, including transport hubs like London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports, according to Scotland Yard.

NATO security: The alliance, which is headquartered in Brussels, is increasing its level of alert in the wake of the bombings in the city, it said in a statement.

THE BACKDROP:[7]

U.S. intelligence officials say they weren't surprised about an attack in Brussels because there have been general concerns about terror threats there, particularly in the wake of recent raids and the arrest of key Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam last week.

Belgium has been a top concern for counterterrorism officials for years because of the large number of Belgian foreign fighters who traveled to join ISIS and other terror groups in Syria and Iraq and then returned to Europe.�

Investigators are aware of additional ISIS plots in Europe[1], possibly linked to the Paris and Brussels networks.

A combination of electronic intercepts, human sources and database tracking indicates several possible targets had been picked out by ISIS operatives in the months since the Paris attacks, say U.S. counterterrorism officials.

Since this week's attacks in Belgium, information found in a raided apartment, including maps, indicated other potential targets had been chosen, one of the sources said.

Under increasing pressure from major corporations that do business in Georgia, Gov. Nathan Deal announced he will veto a bill that critics say would have curtailed the rights of Georgia's LGBT community.

The bill -- HB 757 -- would have given faith-based organizations in Georgia the option to deny services to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. Supporters said the measure would have protected religious freedom, while opponents have described it as "anti-LGBT" and "appalling."

A male suspect was shot by U.S. Capitol Police[1] and was taken to a hospital, law enforcement officials tell CNN.

A female civilian bystander was injured by shrapnel. No U.S. Capitol Police officers were injured, and the Capitol lockdown was lifted.

The suspect�attempted to go through metal detectors at the Capitol Visitor Center entrance. He was stopped by security and then allegedly pulled out a gun before being shot by Capitol police, sources told CNN.

The White House also briefly closed its North and South fence lines as a precautionary measure after the Capitol incident.

The suspect shot by Capitol Police has been identified[1] as Larry Russell Dawson, two law enforcement sources say.

Dawson was also arrested in October after an outburst in the House chamber. Court documents from that incident describe him as a 66-year-old from Tennessee. According to the documents, Dawson "loudly stated to Congress he was a 'prophet of God.' "

U.S. Capitol Police Chief Matthew Verderosa, without naming the suspect in today's incident, said "there is no reason to believe this is anything more than a criminal act."
"We believe this is an act of a single person who has frequented the Capitol grounds before," Verderosa said.
