Not sure why you replied to me on this one. I beleive Hustler wrote it.
How did it pass the Senate?
It passed by a simple majority. Being the President vetoed it, the Senate must now get a super majority, or 60 votes, for it to pass. Hell will freeze before that happens.

I thought you effectively needed a super majority to pass the Senate in the first place to avoid a filibuster.

Remember, this shit passed over the holidays. Plus why would they filibuster. Waste of time and energy knowing they had the super majority handcuffed as they knew the President was going to veto it.

Both to make political points with the voters "I worked hard to prevent the Republicans from eviscerating the Affordable Care Act" as well as
to send a message that it still won't work even if there's a Republican president after the next election.

Well, you seemed to know about it.
About what? I never replied to anything on this subject, except for your message to me. Did you change the name in the TO field to mine on purpose?

Here's the message I replied to, followed by the full headers... it looks like a bug...
It seems the message was exported from your system from you to "SBL", so there's an issue somewhere from the look of it!

Hrm.. I can only confirm I last compiled on Jan 3. It has to be something with QWK, as I have a separate node hooked up to my Synchronet system via FTN (I made a dummy net, as you can see in my origin line), and it came to this system
with the correct author.. which was why I was wondering what the heck you were replying to me for! :)

I wonder if a quick chksmb on both the sync_dat and debate subs will
show any problems there?

It appears a header got copied from one message and appended to another
on Vert's system. I wonder if this was during a QWK import or SMB maintenance...
