I was in Best Buys yesterday looking at the new SONY WEGA 60" Hi Def TV for about $2400. Maybe by next year after my wife graduates and starts work full time. :)' I only wish I could afford it now to watch the EAGLES WIN!
I believe they are using something new, it is a flat screen TV but you can actually see the screen from side angles. The picture was awesome. I already have the Hi Def cable box and am running the output into my computer ATI card which is giving me a better picture than on the regular TV, only I am limited to a 21" monitor. Guess I will have both TV and PC running on the Super Bowl.

I can't tell you how much Philadelphia is pumped up for this game. It has been a long wait to see the Eagles make it to the SUPER BOWL XXXIX !!

I have a Mitsubishi 65", and the picture on it is also great from the side angles. I would recommend giving Mitsubishi a close look before buying another brand.

    GO Eagles!
    I bet on them. :-/
    Just a feeling.

    Will do.
I was looking at the WEGA, they are boasting it is an LCD projection set, flat screen and it uses a pretty heavy duty projection bulb that is customer changable, the unit cost about $200-$250 and once it is replaced the picture is supposed to look as good as the day it was new. So says the advertising.

I would imagine Mistsubishi does the same.
    Eagles Fight Song
Fly Eagles fly, on the road to victory.
Fight Eagles fight, score a touchdown 1-2-3.

    Hit 'em low,
    Hit 'em high,
And we'll watch our Eagles fly.

Fly Eagles fly on the road to victory.

    E A G L E S Eagles!

Does yours have the glassy light reflective surface on the screen or the flat non reflective surface? I prefer the non reflective surface because of NO GLARE from light sources of course. But I am wondering how that holds up.

We have a Plasma screen amoung several others at work, I don't like the Plasma at work because of the glassy glare, it is sitting in a class room environment and the glare really takes away from the picture, but it cleans up nicely from what ever comes in contact with it.

I appreciate hearing your experience. $2400 is a fair amount of jingles to lay out. So the more input on others experience help make an informed purchase.

Mine has a fairly low glare problem. All in all, it has an excellent picture, with good visibility from any resonable angle. It's definately a flat screen.

    Wow 20 years old.

Ya, I know it. It's lasted longer than all of my other TV's combined! And this TV gets alot of "on" time. My wife keeps the tv on all night long. Says it the noise of the TV helps her sleep and if she does wake up and can't go back to sleep, She'll watch it for awile.. :) But the TV has 2 Coaxial inputs, RCA inputs, and audio outputs on it. So I've ran that through a small amp/reciever and got a ton more sound out of it... Great for watching movies in a comfy place.
