Anyone else out here getting into XM Satellite Radio.
I am going on year No.2 and just picked up the Roady Remote control and Home mounting system.

I have the audio line run to my mixing board and then main ouptut from the board into my computer so I can record the songs to MP3's using Cool Edit.

They have been playing awesome stuff this week. I must have recorded Deep Tracks non-stop this weekend. :)

I bought my brother an XM Roady 2 for his vehicle, I got him hooked :) Commercial Free radio....And when traveling across country, you never have to change freqs to find a new channel.

The new Roady 2 seems pretty cool, it was only $92 at Wal-Mart and it has a built in FM Modulator so you don't have to hard wire it into you car stereo unless you want to.

I picked up my son a Motorola 256 Meg MP3 Player and added a 1 Gig SD card he can hold about 300 songs. I know it's not an I-POD, but this will never have a hard drive to crap out and he can buy additional memory cards or just swap the music off the computer. The motrola came with an arm band holder so he can use it while running, no disc to skip and it also has a built in radio. The unit plays Audible Audio, MP3, and WMA files. He likes it.
So many cool toys out there. :)

And the little buggers deserve what they get...stealing away our jobs.
That's right, they want to take our jobs by working in sweat shops, screw'em then let them work for dirt. When they finally rise up and start demanding good working conditions and a good wage, then they will have to compete with other civilized countries.

What were these sweat shops workers doing before they decided to work in a sweat shop? Let'em go back to that if it is so bad and we'll bring the tech job back to the civilized world.

Dam bleeding heart liberals everywhere you go. And how much made in the USA stuff is in your home? Maybe we should get them out of the sweat shop, up the American taxes and have the USA give them another handout.

No No! Your right... I feel terrible...but before I smash my Roady 2....where are your facts coming from that this unit was made in a "SWEAT SHOP"?
To be honest, I did not find any sweat on my unit. It was very dry and did not smell of persperation or body oder.

Oh wait, I have to talk to my illegal imigrant yard workers and then tell Lolita the illegal imigrant maid to wash my back. I will continue this conversation later.

Really? I listen to music during most of my waking hours. (now playing: Yes - Roundabout)

I have a streaming server set up at the house, so I can generally listen wherever there's an internet connection, and for the road I've had an indash mp3 player in the car for a few years now.

You can try it for a couple months, XM is only $9.99/month and you can pay by the month and cancle if you don't like it.

Sirus is a couple bucks more a month, but you already have the radio. Treat yourself to a month. If you don't like it, cancel the service. Worst you will be out $12.

And the little buggers deserve what they get...stealing away our jobs. That's right, they want to take our jobs by working in sweat shops, screw then let them work for dirt. When they finally rise up and start demandin working conditions and a good wage, then they will have to compete with o civilized countries.

What were these sweat shops workers doing before they decided to work in sweat shop? Let'em go back to that if it is so bad and we'll bring the te back to the civilized world.

Dam bleeding heart liberals everywhere you go. And how much made in the U stuff is in your home? Maybe we should get them out of the sweat shop, up American taxes and have the USA give them another handout.

No No! Your right... I feel terrible...but before I smash my Roady 2....w are your facts coming from that this unit was made in a "SWEAT SHOP"?
To be honest, I did not find any sweat on my unit. It was very dry and di smell of persperation or body oder.

Oh wait, I have to talk to my illegal imigrant yard workers and then tell Lolita the illegal imigrant maid to wash my back. I will continue this conversation later.

These ladies will spend two to three full days in Walmart, and sign a
contract with a freight company to get the stuff home in one or more 'barrels'.

There are several thriving businesses around here that will deliver you an empty 'barrel' in Florida, then pick it up again and ship it to your house here. I think it's $96 per 'barrel', including tghe price of the 'barrel' itself.

The two women in question are only going for six days, travelling up on
the first day and back on the sixth, so I doubt they will need more than three, possibly four 'barrels'.

What about the antenna? do I wire something up to my roof, to use it as the antenna? guessing there is some similar service over here on this side of the world, but might not be. I do work with sattys, and alot of times they focus their beams on one spot. Australia is below me, so I might be able to find a few good radio stations off of their sattys, but if their beams are focused just on australia, then i'll be outa the picture. no idea on it for japan...

Wow.... I was just joking man... Chill a little.. I don't know if your pr was mad in a sweatshop or not, But I Do not like the way Wal-Mart conduct their business, They say that they "Buy USA whenever they can" But have y actually seen anything there "Made in the USA"? Then they drive prices so that they give LOCAL business no other option than to shut down. BTW don' be a fucking liberal just because I have a certian opinion on something.

Do the local buisnesses offer medical insurance for all of their workers? Retirement?

    Advancement? Equil Oppertunity Employment??

    2 sides to that coin....

If you're using SMTP, just configure outlook to use your BBS usernamd and password and check the box "Allow authetnicated users to relay" in the Synchronet mail server configuration dialog. You can access the messages just like a newsgroup. You have to configure you newsreader or even Outlook Express's Newsreader to access the BBS you are telnetting into. You can read all messages and reply and use the Spell check

Okay, how do I set that portion up. When I asked before I was told I
was retarded, and that wasn't possible.

(That newsreaders weren't capable of replying)

The newsreader portion is easy, go to "Tools" "Accounts" then select the
"News" tab. Click on the "Add" select "News" and follow the prompts.
When it asks for the news server, either put your local IP <if its
yours> or the DNS name of the BBS or your ISP's newsgroup server,
such as news.bellsouth.net that you want to connect to. When you run it,
it'll ask you if you want to pull down the list of newsgroups available,
do so, and pick and choose. The one problem I have seen is that when
you "Reply" to or create a new message, its posted to "All". I think
Duce or someone had a fix or work around for that, and since I haven't
tried it in some time, it may have been fixed in the 3.12 version, but I
    don't know for sure.

    Hope that helps.

I think it was the scene where he is ranting about the nature of mankind and god.

And it was Half Sister....that part didn't bother me....that led into the part where he said, "What about love?" She says or was itPachino who said "love is over rated, chemically no different than eating lots of chocolate.

I think Wal-Mart put a hurting on K-Mart, but from what I see in Pennsylvania, business is thriving everywhere. Some of the Mom & Pops needed to go under, they were gouging he people.

And as far as buying everthing at Wal-Mart...well a lot of what they sell is junk as far as hardware like shower heads...plumbing stuff I am much better off going to a Sears hardware or local hardware store, thought they are getting heavy competition from Lowes and Home Depot.

I miss Hechingers and Builders Square.
I still try to buy USA when buying tools.
Made in China tools just are poor quality tools.
My Grinding Wheel is a Delta made in Pittsburg. Great piece of equipment.
My Drill Press, a Guardian made in Illinois....
    My handtools...mostly USA made Craftsman.
About half my HAM radios were made in the USA.
My guitars and amps...Made in the USA
My Toilet..and American Standard, plumbing fixtures...USA
I believe even my washer and dryer, fridge and stove are USA made
I am not sure about my Dish Washer....
My Ford Explorer was made in the USA....my wife drives the Honda...:(
but at least it has American made tires.
My BBS software was made in the USA. :)
I keep trying to go USA...but it is getting harder all the time.

Anybody remember Harrison Ford in the Mosquito Coast....he was digging through the junk yard looking for an American made piece of refridgerator door insulation. LOL
