I'll have to agree with you there William... I've only started to listen to Clapton as I thought for some strange reason he was "popish" music. WOW I am wrong. Led Zeppelin I have liked for quite some time. Too bad I was never around to even see them live as I am only 22 :) I hope I'm not too off topic but what other bands in the 60's are more like Led Zeppelin? I was just wondering as I would like to try and listen to some other bands in the erra.
IMO, there are no other bands quite like Led Zeppelin. They are truly a
one of a kind, and perhaps the greatest rock band ever. But, that era did produce some excellent music. Checking amazon's site... customer's who
bought Led Zeppelin's Boxed Set (one would think that would be their
bigger fans) also bought music from The Doors, Pink Floyd, The Who, and
Jimi Hendrix.
I've seen The Who live... they were fun. I love Floyd, seen them live
3 times. The Doors, and Hendrix are just 'OK' in my opinion.
