Hello Folks!

I figured any new updates to this are best shouted out in the Advertisements section, I've cluttered up Synchronet Discussion quite a bit.

For anyone interested, this is the newest update which implements the change requested for the Severe Weather Alerts behavior. Instead of prompting the caller with Yes/No, it will prompt the caller with No/Yes. This way, if you have someone who is hitting enter repeatedly to get past Logon events, the weather app is not getting in their way nearly as much.

Thanks to digital man for the suggestion (and pointers).

I really don't think it is compatible with anything besides Synchronet. Mainly because it is written in Javascript (I don't think any other BBS uses that...) and it uses a lot of Sync specific things, like the modopts.ini file in /sbbs/ctrl/ folder, a detection for dialup users that uses a Sync internal javascript variable, etc...

That being said, this software is under ISC License, feel free grab the code and do what you will with it.

I really don't plan on developing this for anything else, mainly because I am simply not that good. I'm (kinda-sorta) starting to learn how to manipulate javascript to do what I want, but I am still a novice and mostly work on this because A) I really wanted something like this for my own BBS, and B) I get to learn some of the basics of programming while working on something I enjoy.

If it weren't for some very helpful programmers out there, syncWX wouldn't be as far along as it is today.

It could be "ported" to the jsdoor thing I'm in the middle of, but that's currently stalled.
