Usurper fans: Tell me where you play it. I play it on Black Flag, but have been considering adding another to my daily agenda. You know, life is good when you've got nothing better to worry about than where to play Usurper! :)

Well, we do have Usurper as part of COA, but I'm not sure how active it is. (I don't play it, myself.) They may have it over on BBSLink as well, might be busier there.
ec, if I haven't thanked you lately for all the work you do on CoA and the various other pieces of software you put out, let me say it now. Thanks man, you truly rock.

Hey - thanks!
The vast majority of Synchronet-related things I've created wouldn't have happened without the efforts of mcmlxxix. Among many other things, he's responsible for frame.js and the JSON database service - both of which I use regularly. (And he's written a lot of great games of his own.) He's put at least as much effort into COA as I have, as well.
As much as I make things for my own enjoyment, it's always great to see other sysops setting them up and other people using them. So, thanks to you and everyone else for taking an interest and participating.
Thanks again to both you gents. I really have learned a lot just running the BBS for fun. ec, one last thing, I love the new Bootstrap web interface, mainly because I always kept wondering if there was a way to get Synchronet to act like a blog engine. The bulletins as a feed on the main page are pretty awesome, and make a whole lotta sense.
The bulletin feed is, unfortunately, not included, but I can make it available if it's wanted. It's very simple, and just pulls messages out of the message base that my "Bullshit" bulletin lister users.
Re: blog engine, it's something that I've thought about and plan on doing some work on at some point. I might again use a message base for storage, and allow for comments in the form of replies to the original message. Synchronet could then just handle permissions, user registration, etc. for you. I would just need to think about ways to allow for "rich" content in postings, because I suspect people would want to be able to include pictures, etc. in their blog posts. (The answer might just be "use HTML".)
HTML would make sense. Could another possibility be something like the mark up language used in something like phpBB boards? Not that I can imagine how that would work on the Terminal side of things... maybe a custom reader for that section of the text BBS. Which sounds like more work... that I couldn't really do if I tried... lol. But just tossing ideas out ;-)
mcmlxxix, you definitely do some amazing work. I love your games and I reall appreciate the hard work you put into SBBS. Also, you are a fellow New Englander, which counts double ;-) Lastly, I always liked your screen name because I was born in '79, lol.
